At about $500 a pop, an iPad 2 is pretty expensive piece of technology. So spending a little coin to protect it from average wear and tear is a wise investment. But how about spending a little coin to protect it from getting smashed by a 12 pound bowling ball, or making it resistant to a 500 foot plunge. An iPad 2 case capable of doing that would have to be made of some sort of space age material, or add so much bulk to your device that it really wouldn’t be worth having right?
The G-Form extreme sleeve is a lightweight carrying case, not much bigger than a standard leather case. What sets it apart is the fact that it seemingly can withstand anything you through at it. Just check out this video if you don’t believe me.
That’s impressive by anyone’s standards. G-Form is mainly known for making protective gear for athletes so their bones don’t turn to powder when they slam into concrete at high speeds and higher elevations. It seems like they have made a natural evolution to protecting gadgets.
We’ve never seen anything quite like it before, and at $59.99, it’s a lot cheaper than a lot of cases out there that won’t protect your iPad nearly as well. It’s only available for pre-order right now, but I would imagine those pre-orders are piling up, so you’ll see these come to market sooner rather than later. Until then, you can check out their YouTube channel for more torture tests.
